The Multidisciplinary Design Program and GHDI collaboratively offer the MDP Global Health Specialization minor. Additionally, MDP programs and courses allow for iterative design opportunities for students to continue working on projects initiated through GHDI.
Insitu provides our participants with training and tools for socially engaged design through its Socially Engaged Design Academy and consultation service.
The Library system at UM assists in identifying meaningful resources for GHDI to dive into cultural context of field sites. Additionally, the library created a personalized reading list for GHDI projects collaborators.
For the last eight years, the Medical School Laundry Services has donated scrubs for our students’ clinical immersion experiences. Students donate these scrubs to their partner hospitals abroad before returning from their field site.
