The goal of this project is to design a streamlined, multifunctional labor and delivery device to be used in limited resource settings, such that patients may labor and delivery in the same location, thereby increasing the safety, comfort, and efficiency of the birthing process for mothers, infants, and birthing attendants.

I went into it hoping to learn more healthcare and other challenges in low income settings, to test my own ability to do service abroad, and to meet other people with the same passions.
