Outcomes
Multifunctional Labor and Delivery Bed
Description
The goal of this project is to design a streamlined, multifunctional labor and delivery device to be used in limited resource settings, such that patients may labor and delivery in the same location, thereby increasing the safety, comfort, and efficiency of the birthing process for mothers, infants, and birthing attendants.
I have seen the people that my device will affect, and have met with the practitioners that will ultimately use it. The tangibility of that encounter makes me want to be a more accountable and ethical engineer.
